OK, So PCOTY had 6 holden products and 2 Ford products.

What was the outcome between the two companies?

1. Commodore CSV $112,000
2. TE50 $64,000 & HSV MONARO GTS $95,000 - EQUAL
3. XR8 220 $48,000
4. Moanro CV8 $57,000
5. Clubsport R8 $67,000
6. Barina $21,000
7. SS Commodore $48,000

What do these results say:

- Unless you want to spend $112,000 then you can choose between a $64K Falcon or a $95K Commodore - both of which are equally ranked - which would you choose ?

- If you can't afford the TE50, what's the next best thing - an XR8 which is a $48K car and is better than the $57K Monaro and the $67K Clubsport

- Who would buy a car which got flogged by a barina - HA HA.

These results speak for themselves.....If you intend on buying any of the above holden products, I think you need to get your head checked.

They never include a car they tested the year B4, unless it is an update, or a brand new model.

200SX wasn't included because it had no changes from last year.

I agree the rankings are a good thing, however to those that think Motor are biased look at how they generously allowed a backup TE50 to be brought in when the first had an engine mishap (which is what happened last year funnily enough). Seems strange that the Windsors can't hack the pace at PCOTY.

One thing though - what magazine allows a jerk like that Hallenbeck (or whatever) to judge if he has such an irrational preconceived hatred towards australian cars. This alone will never allow an Aussie car to win PCOTY. That's not what balanced and educated people do (like I hate autos and FWD, however if I was writing in a mag I'd look beyond my personal oppinions and judge a car for what it is).

Good results for ford. Just goes to show that ford can do stuff better than holden, for a better price. (I am sure if Ford released a car to compete with the CSV, it will win!!)
