At some stage I will need to have a towbar fitted to my car. Unfortunately, the Ford way means cutting the rear bar. I know it can be done without cutting the rear bar. Is there anyone on FF here that has, or knows of someone who has fitted a towbar to their car without cutting the Peregrine rear bar how it was done, where it was fitted and how much.
Cheers,
James.

Iv'e fitted many towbars too XR's with the "racing bodykit". I'm sorry pal but cutting it is the only way.
The template is for the Hyman Reece heavy duty towbar. If you only require a 1600kg standard towbar the fitting kit will come with instructions and a template where to cut the towbar. It isnt a big square its only a small slot big enough for the goose neck to fit through.

Im getting a haymen reece 2300kg tow bar fitted this week ,on my EL XR6 with tickford body kit,the guy fitting the kit wont garuntee it wont crack whilst he is cutting it out.(so i can expect him to crack it now)
They use a freeaking a jig saw to cut it out,I sugested a 4" grinder with a cut blade." NAh mate we only ever use a jig saw" thats probly why you crack them every time .
I will spew if it gets damaged in any way ,Id prefer to do the damage my self and try using a grinder then let some cowboy, wreck it just beacue "thats how we do it".
