Did any of you fellas buy the latest copy of Performace Ford Magazine? I has a killer write up an XC Cobra, twin turbo cleveland set up as a full sleeper.
On the dyno it reeled off an effortless 350 rwhp @ 10psi. (260rwkw)

It only has 2.75 9 inch but apparantly peels the tyres in every gear.

Not bad to kill the odd unsuspecting HQ GTS Monaro!

350rwhp from a TT Clevo? Did they only have 4 spark plugs in it when they got that figure?

No apparantly they had the boost down low. But essentially the motor is very mild indeed with basic bottom end and recoed heads.

With out the TT's they would be pushing to probably get 250hp at the fly!

Get the mag and read for yourself. It's not too bad a setup!

I love the Red XD ute also.

Thats what my project car will be based on. The things I personally will do is twin GRA mixers & B2 converters, 17" Billet centrelines, Cobalt Blue paint and mini tubs. But essentially the motor will have a hydraulic cam as apposed to a solid that he has stated.

Cant wait!

Street Machine Magazine did an article on one in the early 90's - from memory it was 700hp, and docile enough to drive to the shops. It looked like a stock cobra but went sooooo hard!! I wonder if it is the same car.

maybe its a typo and its actually 530rwhp @ 10psi? thats a lot more realistic..
