Guys I need your wisdom, while flicking through the current issue of Aust. Muscle Car, which by the way is THE BEST magazine on magazine stands, I noticed in the letters section, someone made a reference to an XC coupe "Playboy Special"

Were these actually produced? Where they dealer specials? Anyone got photos or specs?

Any info would be highly appreciated.

I think the idea of a PLAYBOY SPECIAL (tm) was a marketing idea to offload the last of the XC Hardtops. The plan was that they would be black with gold stripes and bunny head logos. The idea was canned in favour of the COBRA which made it to the Showrooms.

RPO83 / Discovery, can you shed some light on this?

I seem to remember there was also a playboy Bronco. They removed the roof and painted it black IIRC.

Yeah, and I thought the porno site operators had invaded with some really rank porn... then I read it's only about some bloody car! What is this a car forum or what.

How about a different title to the thread like Playboy car one off, or Playboy and Ford etc.

I wonder what the hit count for this thread is gonna be, all the fifteen y.o. lads who frequent the site might've gotten all excited!

Also what the hell is the Phantom XC???
