[V8]Ford Power

I have been mulling on this for a while so I though i would post my thoughts and see what you doods think.

Ford recently launched the BA XR series with the slogan "Game On". This may be marginally funny but I just see it as a huge admition than Ford is playing the big catch up to Holden. If this is the way that Ford intend to pitch this new car to the masses then I think that strategy is flawed and quite frankly weak as piss.

"Drive the all new Commodore beating Falcon. We have new motors, suspension and interiors all of which are much better than Holden. We even have snappy new slogans to show how clever we are........
Game On
Ford, I just want one... more than a HSV even!!"

Ford should do their own thing and, if I was them, not even acknowledge that those other bastards even exist let alone flatter them by modifying their advertising for our cars.

What is next... maybe they should throw $2 000 000 bucks at Skaife and paint some cars red??

Seem people even wonder why Ford has had their asses kicked for the last 4 or so years..... could it be attitude?

yeah V8Supercars is important, and I just hope with the new Ford Factory Team they may just gain back some ground. The HSV domination is not just money, it is connections too. I know a few years ago (and have no reason to think it has changed) that HSV used to use the shock absorber (and other) testing equipment of Arrows (TWR) F1 team. This is valuable testing info.

Maybe Ford can use their Jaguar connection for similar results???
