What is it with these f#%kwit soccer fans that go on a rampage when their team loses? It seems to be a world wide thing. You don't here about V8 Supercar Ford fans going on a rampage after Skaife wins another three in a row do you? Sure we might be a bit pissed of and maybe have a few choice words to say about it to the nearest bloke wearing a red jacket but thats about it. Same with other sports like AFL or Rugby League or Cricket. You might be disapointed when your team loses but you move on because it's ONLY A GAME. Police ought to throw these f#%kwit soccer fans in jail and bill them for the damage IMO.

trouble is, these clowns arent actually fans. they just follow the team, whether it is the national side or local side, wherever they travel and usually kick up stink there. most of the time, it is stirred up by a couple of well organised groups who plan to meet and kick the crap out of each other. sadly, other people can get drawn into it too.
thankfully, the english are doing something about it. sadly, it is like drug dealers..get rid of one, and there is another waiting to step up.
however, it is not an english problem, though they are widely regarded as starting it all (i have no proof either way, and i suspect most peoplr dont). however, the russians have recently shown they dont like losing, the germans enjoy a bit of a kickabout (with people instead of a ball), the dutch are nasty and the italians take pistols to matches. not forgetting the south americans and the turks, who like knives. these comments apply only to the thugs, not the rest of the population of these countries.
for a lot of people, football (the REAL football, the one played in every country in the wolrd) is like a religion. in 3rd world countries, this is the only way they see as being able to escape the poverty.

If a team loses a game because of stupid referee decisions which cost them the game then i don't have a problem with what the Italian fans did last night, i would've done the same bloody thing.
In ET, Totti was tripped in the goal square and should've gotten a penalty kick which would've won the game for Italy but because the referee is a c@cksucking piece of sh!t and gave him a red card we lost the game.
Another stupid decision was when the referee signalled offside when an Italian stricker kicked a goal, but after they showed the replay the commentators even said that he was ONSIDE
This is the second time that a wrong decision was made against Italy in the World Cup.
My point is that the World Cup is rigged and that's why the Italian fans went on a rampage.
It is funny that Korea and Japan have never gotten this far in a World Cup but because it's in there home country they get decisions made in their favour.
The same happened in '98 when France won the World Cup at Home but this year they played like sh!t when they had most of the same players they had back then.
So what if a few fans went a little bit crazy, it is nothing like what the Russians did when someone got killed.
Soccer is an emotional game and i understand why this has happened.
I suppose there will be a few guys that will disagree with me :s6:
I cant believe what I'm reading 00 Motorsport..... you think a few human errors in refereeing is just cause to go on a violent rampage? Its just a stupid bloody game....
It's just a stupid game is it? When it's your country playing for the biggest prize in the world and are bundled out because of pathetic refereeing then people have a right to get p!ssed off.

So what if it was your car they were trashing that would be OK too? So how come you don't go on a rampage when say Lowndes is given an unfair penalty and Skaife gets off scott free. There's been plenty of similar instantces in V8s. Mate, it's only a game, albeit an important one. It's not only World Cup where these f#@kwits cut loose it's at just about any match.

Yes people have a right to be pissed off, however they have no right to destroy property that's not theirs IMO.
Mod Note: Please watch the tone of the thread guys. Passion can sometimes boil over ala Lygon St last night. Please be careful. :s4
I can understand passion for ones team..... but there is something to be said for self-control.
Not everyone in the world are mad soccer fanatics..... do the business owners care if Italy were robbed??? Should they bear the brunt of others stupidity ???
Oh wait... maybe it is alright for people to do what they want (ie murder innocent people, destroy private & public property) as long as they get to let out a bit of aggression.....
I am a passionate soccer fan, but when AUstralia just missed out on the world cup TWICE, did I go on a rampage? NO! I may have punched the couch a few times and screamed a few profanities but that's about all.
00 motorsport, how can you justify the damage of someones shop becasue of a sports result. I can understand their passion, but getting back to what the other blokes said, a little self control is needed.
