Is there anyone out there who has a Turbo ute on order an has been given a SIDO number. I have the following problem. Everytime I call my dealer to ascertian my SIDO or online date he keeps telling me different stories as to why he cannot provide me with this information.
So far I ahve had the following.
1) All turbos have been delisted
2) Delay with ROH supplying 18" Wheels
3) Delay with Auto boxes for Turbos ( Even though I have ordered a manual)
4) Ford have not been able to allocate a SIDO yet.

Without fail everytime I call my dealer I get a different story.
Could someone please help me. I have had this car on order for nearly two months now and if I could at least find out when it will be built it would be so much better.
I have a strange feeling in my gut the he will hold my order over until he can fill his retail deals then my fleet one will be delivered when demand drops.

well mate i've got my ute on order and i hvae no sido number, but well my dad works at ford and the reason i believe is that they can't give u a sido until they have a build date
and i expect to find out some time in december... they are only making 20-30 turbos per day, there is/was a delay with the 18" rims, they were blowing up the gear boxes and had to put in the xr8 auto, and your point number 4 is y i believe there is no sido, they don't assign a number until they have a build date, and seeing as they don't release them until january, they won't be giving it a build date for a bit yet!

Thanks mate that makes me feel a bit better knowing I,m Not the only one. BTW what spec /options did you order??? fro your ute

i got as much as i could...
its manual, blue print, upgraded sound, momo gear knob (wasn't willing to pay $800 for the momo steering wheel), tow bar, hard cover with spoiler, and a few little things like pollen filter, scuff plates... oh also got upgraded alarm and tinted windows... think thats about it...
but when i get it i'll be doing a few upgrades, i'll need to talk to someone about it, but i'll be doing exaust and maybe a power chip, nothing major, just small changes...

I ordered XR6T UTE Narroma Blue,Manual,Leather, Upgrade stereo, Hard cover ( No Wing) and 18" wheels. I have now decided to wait for my ute ( was gonna buy an SS). But after delivery would like to make a few mods to get a bit more HP out of it. If you find out anything on that front can you let me know through the forum please.

Wife ordered her XR6T sedan the other day and the dealer at Brad Garlic was telling us that they are working with Herrod at the moment on an extractor and exhaust system (and possibly a chip) that will not void warranty but will give you an extra 25 to 30 kw. Show me that XR6TURBO coming out at 270kw!!! Just a little bit of information that may pay to follow up for yours.....

Does any of you know if you get Traction Control on the utes.
Also I heard on the utes that you get the basic Cammand sceen not the sporty one like on the sadans.

Is it $800 for the momo steering wheel? Struth! Does that come with the air bag built in or not? Cause if it does, then I understand why it's so expensive. The EL airbagged steering wheel including the stereo buttons was about $600 new.

Yes it is an airbag wheel. Can't sell anything else these days.

We are working on the xr6t upgrade at the moment it is still under develpoment/as far as warranty goes hmmmmm.
