Police Officer shot at Hillsdale

Right outside my balcony!!!

Not sure because I missed the news but I think the police were chasing thieves in a stolen car and then one of the policemen got shot while trying to stop them.

I had to take major detours to get home and then I took some pics from the balcony of the scene before it got dark. Don't worry, the officer had already been taken to hospital so these aren't grotesque or anything. According to my mum the officer was lying on the grass between the blue car and the swings.

Where it happened

The park

Bottom of the park taped off

Rubberneckers

Thieving bastards

Anyone who shoots at cops

We might not like it when they book us for speeding but we'd be !@#$ed without them. Hope you're OK, mate. Catch the bastards and string them up.

It's the park opposite the one with the big slide. The street you see in the pics is Rhodes Street and the park goes from Rhodes Street down to Grace Campbell Crescent, like you said.

They've opened up the park but Rhodes Street is still closed off. The 2 cars behind the swings are still there, too.
