I think it's a great idea!

Might make a brain dead drunk idiot think twice before driving and taking another persons life.

I had to laugh at this comment... "Ms Schmidt said the TAC would have to undertake more market research to understand why drivers were not heeding their road safety messages."

What's to understand. You drink you pay the concequences, by loss of your licence and your car. Good stuff!

Agreed. I like the idea myself. Repeat offenders for drink driving should not be allowed to drive at all IMO.

When it comes to drink driving I dont think you should get any chances, if caught, you should get banned for life.

It would certainly get some serious idiots and killers off the roads, and maybe deter others!

So, if you really hated someone, you could spike their drink, and they'd lose their licence for life.. I mean, who'd believe them that they had nothing to drink..

But having said that, I feel that it is a good idea for the authorities to impound someones car and sell it off if they feel like a cruise after some schnapps.. Repeat offenders = slow learners
