Poor BDAVE351

BDAVE351... a good mate of mine and contributor to FF had his car stolen last night.... some of us know how that feels. His car is a white XC Fairmont GXL 351 four door with gold simmons. It was in the Cronulla area when it was stolen last night (12/4/02). I am not sure of his plates because they were changed recently but I am sure if he reads this thread he will post the plates up. This car is pretty loud and fairly noticeable... so hopefully someone has seen something. Thanks for any help/condolonces.

blown coupe

His blown XC coupe is still in the garage so all is not lost but he had the wheels from the coupe (currently on blocks) on the four door.... double ring stinger.

mad

sorry to hear the bad news mate

it amazes me everytime something like this happens...

how could you be so low to steal someones pride and joy (or bits of it). I reckon its almost equal to kidnapping due to the way some of us look after and cherish our cars.

lets just hope that he gets it back aok...

You'll get it back mate... It will be either of 2 scenarios..

1/ Kids took it for a spin to get lollies from the shop and have left it parked near the 7 eleven.

2/ Some loser has taken it thinkin it was a nice car but who soon shat himself with the power and ride of it in which case he's parked it on the side of the road and is going to counselling now to become a born again christian!

I have had 3 cars stolen mate, I know how it feels.
first was an 87 Xf s'pac whic was uninsured and I still owed $9000 on it..never saw that one again, next was an 85 XE Fairmont Ghia which was found 4 days later but we had it written off (they poured sand in the motor), third and finally was an 87 ZL Fairlane which was stolen from here at work and just driven to another shopping ctr by some druggies (who left a nice syringe in the back seat) and reverse parked and locked up in the carpark. I found it about 3 days later and drove it home..

So don't sweat man, it'll show up!

Cheers Tony

This is becoming all to common. These people better hope they aren't found because I know what I'd like to do to them.

Hope you find the car bdave351. Let us know what part of Sydney it was stolen from as we can look out for it.

thanks folks , it was taken from South Cronulla.

But I dont think I should be getting my hopes up to much , to take it with some wiring removed would mean they were serious I think , maybe they were looking for parts like 9in diffs of 5.8's etc.

Driving around in a 1.6 beastie this morning looking for it was the worst part.....
