i got popup defender 6.0 from download.com
if u get a popup u add it to the ban list, and it theoretically shouldn't come up anymore.
but i really don't know how well it works

I ran the latest Adaware on my pc as I was getting popus galore it got rid of a HEAP of them, but I also ran the spybot (which is free forever, with updates) and that got rid of the last of them, and I havent has a popup since....
