Maybe I'm just getting old and anal (at 19, dear god), but this really bugs me for some reason. I know it's the aussie way of saying it but I can't bring myself to do it.
Coupé. Note the accent on the e.
lol I'm not really a tightarse, I couldn't care less, just wondering how everyone else says it? And what about the other biggie, Porsche. It's Porscha!
Now that I think about it, I often say Coupe...can't explain it really. I have tried to change my stance and say Coop...sometimes I win the battle with my tongue.
As for Porsche...I say both Porscha and Porsche, but more often than not I say Porscha.
When it comes to pronunciation though, I am not your man. I always say things in a different way to everyone else.

I always say the accent at the end. It's originally a woggy word so pronounce it that way. If you want to discuss a chicken house then say coop.
As for Porsche, I usually leave the 'a' off the end, but sometimes I say it. Mainly if those around me say it as well.

Coup-a Porscha makes me feel like I trying to be french, and it just sounds wrong - If you've heard my voice, you'd understand why it sounds wrong if I pronounce things like that.
Got another one for all of you who live in Melbourne... A suburb in northern melbourne, reservoir, do you pronounce it ending in a or sound or voir sound? Having lived there for years, I know how all the locals pronounce it, but I'm curious to see how everyone else pronounces it.
