is the queensland limit before getting done by a camera +10% or +3km/h. The fleet Manager said its changed lately to +3km/h is she talking bs or has it infact changed and ill now need to focus on the speedo instead of the road.
I would be carefull on queensland roads, as the police are out in force, i was done for speeding 2 times last week lets just say on 1 account i am very unhappy with the police. Becarefull around toll booths be sure to drop your speed down where signed. Goodluck.
Forget the 10% rule. It is gone! If it is a quiet day the operator can dial the radar speed down a notch or 2.
If the sign says 60 I strongly suggest that you match that speed to the one displayed on your speedo.
I understand that camera detected radar offences will be privatised in the near future. In other words the QPS is off-loading the radar to private companies who will be in it for the profit and not the deterent factor. These private companies will also not be governed by QPS guidelines for setting up radar sites etc.
No means no. 60 means 60!

Exactly... was thinking about the dangers of being a camera operator the other day.....
My thoughts involved an inconspicuous vehicle and something with a bit more grunt than a bat.
I wouldn't do that job for quids!!!

Use the current terrorist porblem to an advantage, throw hand grenades at a few camera operators in australia. No cop would want to man one of those radars for a looooooooong time :)

hmmm, trust me i go at the speed limit, but i dont like having to look at the speedo every 30 seconds just to be sure. and in a car so devious as the xr6t its very hard to stay at 60. I was concerned about going down the highway because im going for a 3 hour trip up the coast and its normally 105 in a 100 zone is ok and 115 in 110 zone ok but i guess ill have to back off back to 100 and 110 exactly. Lucky for cruise control, the old commodore would be very hard to stay at the speed limit as its speedos about 5-10 k's out
or we could go the more fun approach go out with a mate, using his sh*tter as an inconspicuous car, (make sure there are no FOR SALE signes and stuff on it though!!!) sneak up and steal the plates off the camera car, then go past the speed camera very fast lots of times.
then, if you can manage it, put the plates back on the camera car :)
i REALLY gotta do that someday...
