Anyone think a quarter mile registry topic would be a good idea?
This would be the place to post your drag results (time @ trap speed) or if you want to show off your style, include things like reaction, 60" and 1/8 mile results too. Include an explanation if you believe your results need one.
My first drag results to start off (done a while back!)
1st ever drag-
Reaction 0.724, 60ft 3.211, 330ft 8.009, 660ft 11.6 @ 112km/h,
1000ft 14.648, ET 17.238 @ 141.11km/h.
Explanation: Bad start wasted time with traction loss. Clutch slipped when dumped into 4th also.
2nd ever drag-
Reaction 0.712, 60ft 2.540, 330ft 7.429, 660ft 11.752 @ 91.39km/h,
1000ft 15.591, ET 19.111 @ 98.29km/h.
Explanation: much better start, but missed 2nd gear, dumped it into 3rd instead, and proceeded to shred my clutch. Made it down the quarter (just) by screaming it. Needless to say I got towed home.
BLACK XR6 - Your tyres must have been rooted to get that ET. I wouldnt expect much better than that from my car which has roughly 115rwkw's and mine is a auto. You should be pulling at least a high 14 if not better!
1st Run
Reaction 1.168, 60ft 2.298, 330ft 6.522, 660ft 9.998 @ 69.6mph,
1000ft 12.996, ET 15.533 @ 87.09mph.
Explanation: Fell asleep at the start. hahaha! No other excuses.
2nd Run
Reaction 0.830, 60ft 2.311, 330ft 6.532, 660ft 10.011 @ 69.7mph,
1000ft 13.011, ET 15.547 @ 87.05mph.
Explanation: Great start. Car felt better but slightly slower time, go figure.
3rd Run
Home to work on new engine.

Well it was at Heathcote, and it was my first & only time at the drags ( I was there with the E-Series club). I did get heaps of wheelspin off the
line each time. Wheels mag got 15.9 for their quarter in the same car as
mine...
A mate of mine told me not to worry about the ET, but the MPH. This is because you may not be such a good driver, crap tyres etc. But the MPH does not lie, and regardless of launch technique etc. it will be fairly consistent for each car.
What should I expect with 89 Mph, if I had a bit of practice good tyres etc. ?
