Question

So I was wondering, if you drive your car until it is warmed up. And then you pop the hood after wards to look at something(right after you turn your car off) into 60 degree weather. Will this crack the head?

Re: Question

No, it will not. The head will crack if it's low on coolant and overheats. Opening the hood won't hurt anything no matter what the tempurature outside is.

Re: Question

Personally, I'd leave it closed and keep the cat in there!
