They had a protype engine running around in an R34 in the JGTC. It was a twin turbo version of the 350Z with significant upgrades. The release has been very slow. The R35 Skyline was released a couple of years ago.
the final supra was made I believe in either 2002 or 2003. Due to increased emissions restrictions in Japan the Supra died.

45,000km service coming up - and i'll be asking for a sizable list of fixes:
* Gearbox (3rd time)
* Steering click (5th time)
* Brake Shudder (2nd time, and has the applied "Fix")
* etc...
I can remember an a while back that there was a Skyline concept in a Motor magazine that looked pretty sweet at a Toyko Motor Show. Skyline wasn't mentioned in the cars title but it was believed to be the upcoming R34. that was the last I saw of it though
It seems they're been putting off the R35 GT-R for ages now (talking years). If memory serves me correct magazines said it'd be out early 2004... The concept was well and truly out and around in 2002 i think?
Is there a coupe version of the R35 out yet? or only sedans?
Nissan boss has confirmed it for 2007 and that's all. No official word on power, engine configuration (although V6 would have to be the obvious one), or anything really!

Clicky clicky here for previous ride! I still miss her!
i think since renault took nissan over there has been a lot of watching the budget. As far as I know, with previous GTR's there has been secretly no budget even with the company seeing a lot of red. But now Mr Ghosn had put a restriction, some say taken the fun out of building the new GTR.
