RACV - New membership Service??

Trip Care option: $25.00 (including GST)

Trip Care is only available to Roadside Care members. All current Extra and Total Care Members enjoy the benefits of Trip Care as part of their existing membership.

Trip Care benefits are only available when the vehicle breaks down over 100km from home. If the vehicle breaks down less than 100km from home, Roadside Care benefits apply.

The features of Trip Care* are:

2 bonus road service calls for the duration of Trip Care (over and above your current road service calls)**
minor parts: if we have a part that will get your car going, we will install it and will not charge for parts to the value of $33 (incl. GST)
if RACV can't get your car started within 24 hours: up to 5 nights accommodation or up to 5 days rental vehicle or up to 3 nights accommodation and 3 days rental vehicle
Towing (Country Areas) free tow to nearest service centre
if your car cannot be repaired on site within 3 days: transport can be arranged for you and your vehicle to your home or chosen repairer
Taxi to get you to your destination if your vehicle needs breakdown towing
Petrol to get you to the nearest petrol station
A Locksmith to open your car if the RACV patrol officer can't open it
Specialised towing equipment
Accident Advice
Price

$25.00 (including GST) for 31 days cover.

** The member will receive an extra 2 road service calls in the duration of Trip Care cover period. When Trip Care finishes the road service calls revert back to the number of calls the member was entitled to before Trip Care was purchased (unless the member used more than two calls during Trip Care.

NRMA has had something like this for a while now, but it costs something like $44 a year, rather than $25 for a month.

it's a good idea if this sort of thing applies to you.

Seems like a good idea to me.

Possibly a bit steep though, I guess it depends on how much you use it.
I dont need to worry anyway, cause my car is covered.

Hmmm $25 a month, thats about $300 a year. I'll just stick my current NRMA road service for the moment. Though for what you get the RACV seems a good deal when your stranded.

Its only a special deal by the looks of., ie if you gonna travel away for holidays etc!

I wouldnt pay for 12 months!
