Radio Controlled Cars.

Hi all, I recently got bitten by the radio control bug when my wife bought me a Schumacher Nitro XTR-3E Stadium Truck. It has brought me heaps of enjoyment and i've already broken it a few times hehe. I then wanted an on-road car so I got a GS Vision RTR and its brilliant.
Anyways is there any others out there that get into this sort of thing?

Re: Radio Controlled Cars.

I used to sell and service these for a living, the on-road supercars were my favorite by far!

When I was working there, we ran championships and even had the Tamiya Cup where you could win prize money.

Lots of fun and money spent - even better when work was paying!

Tim

Re: Radio Controlled Cars.

I've got a 1/10th scale BA V8 Supercar in the livery that Dick Johnson debuted at Bathurst.

A 1/10th 2002 Subaru WRC and,

I've also just bought a 1/15th scale Marcos Ambrose SBR Falcon as well

Re: Radio Controlled Cars.

Between me and my bro we've got a HPI Nitro MT (4WD stadium truck type thing), HPI RS4 Rally (complete with focus body, and others), GV 'silver snake' (worst RC car ever made?), traxxas stampede (2WD electric monster truck) and a traxxas sledgehammer (soooo old it's not funny).
Unfortunately i don't have alot of time/money to play these days. I plan on getting some bit's and pieces for the nitro MT and making it a bit of an on-road weapon....
Pics attached are of my Nitro MT (before the body became 90% gaffa tape)

Re: Radio Controlled Cars.

Both mine are 1/10th... the on-road came with a WRX shell but i've since put a Skyline R34 GTR one on it. My XTR-3E has a .21 engine which is completely insane for a 1/10 truck. It does 110km/h and cant steer for shit cause the front wheels rarely touch the ground and it wheelstands at every gear change... its a 3 speed. My shell is knackered, I've rebuilt the shockies 3 times, bent a rear hub and snapped a rear lower suspension arm.... and I've only had it a week.

Re: Radio Controlled Cars.

lol, a 0.21 is big esp for a 1/10, more suitable for a 1/8 or 1/5
