raid day 2

well..a big day has been had by all...

Started off with a tour of 00 Motorsport or Ford Credit racing .... 00 motorsport has a wonderful facility ... it's massive and the facilties are first rate. We had a close look at the cars and the tour guide (I am shocking with names !!) was very very informative. The sheer amount of work that goes into one of those cars is unbelieveable.

Ford Credit (Glenn Seton) was a much smaller effort but the drive of the people was just as strong. A very big thank you to FC Racing as they weren't expecting us and still took us on a tour.

After the tours it was off to Herrods in Thomastown. The barbie ute(tm) was being used in anger and some damned fine examples of barbequed food was being turned out in vast quantities.

Herrods made a massive effort for us on this day and we even chucked a few cars on the dyno. Aussie Pete is still King Dyno Bitch(tm) with 225 or so Kw at the treads.. I think Venom got 130 ish ( I had to disappear to get some petrol and octane booster).. the XA on it's maiden dyno voyage cranked out just over 180Kw.. Stryder got a bit less than Venom .. Grunter spanked out a respectable 216Kw or so as well! There was a black AU there (customers??) that also reeled out over 200 .. so it seems the XA will need some more work :s6:

Herrods derserve a massive thank you as they basically took a day off work to accomodate us. They are a small outfit and a days work is not inconsequential.

Tonight is the FF Vs LS1 dinner...

pics to follow
