Re: recommend a video card

I have a Ge-force 4 MX440. It is 128mb ddr and tv out and 8x AGP. Picked it up brand new for $99. Not bad price for what it is.

Re: recommend a video card

You should be able to get an MSI GF 5200 for that amount of cash. Even a decent one with the remote control and crap.

I picked up a MSI Geforce 5200 128mb DDR a couple of months ago for $130 or so. Personally I want something more powerful as games still struggle at 1024*768 with all the options turned up (AMD 2600+).

I'd look at getting an Asus V9180-TD-128 (MX440 chipset, TV out, S-SUB etc etc). They're $190 from my local computer shop. I think the MX440s perform better than the 5200s if my memory serves correctly...

Ti4200 is not a DirectX 9 compliant card.

I'd first look at the ATI Radeon 9200/9600/9700/9800 cards as they perform the best, then following that if you cannot find any, take a look at any of the nVIDIA FX series 5200/5600/5800/5900

Cheers
