Are ford's reliable? Do ya think they are more reliable than Honda? Just want to know. Thanks

Sure they are. My '89 LTD Crown Vic has 212K miles with the original motor, tranny, and all. What kind of vehicle are you lookin at getting? Anything will be reliable if you keep it well maintained really. Of course everything has its own problems too.

Actually Honda is a world reliable vehicle. My '86 Civic only needed a new head gasket, although I got to say that I own a '89 Escort, but I owned that for 6 years all it went through 3 fuel pump. But the Escort hit 4 deer. I had to replace the whole front end and Honda wouldn't stand a chance against A deer. So all-in-all they have their pros and cons.

I used to own an 87 Honda Accord. The car had 225k miles on it when I got rid of it. I do plan on going back to the Honda/Acura family for my next car. I miss that reliability.

I have a 93 Ford Probe. Luckily Mazda built the engine and drivetrain, so the engine lasts a lot longer. But still...I miss the true reliability of Hondas.

My two Crown Victorias sure are reliable. My 1996 has 121,000 miles and only one "breakdown" so far.
