RIP Doug Chivas

The older FF members will be saddened to hear that Doug Chivas passed away yesterday in his sleep aged 82.

I still remember Doug pushing Brockie's Torana at Bathurst and his exploits in the Chargers.

Condolences to Doug's family.

Re: RIP Doug Chivas

I never saw him race, but what a big contribution to Aussie motorsport.

Re: RIP Doug Chivas

He was always a goer still racing and pushing Brockies XU-1 at 51 and only retired from his tyre business in Hilton (where I buy my tyres) a few years ago.

Re: RIP Doug Chivas

Has been a bad couple of years and thus we add another of the legends to the list of those gone but not forgotten.

Re: RIP Doug Chivas

BTW although I suspect Doug wouldn't mind shouldn't this thread be in the "Pub" or the "Pits"
