I hope this is not true but, has there been a recall of the BA because of a transmission problem? Has anybody heard this?

Well, if you only think it's a rumour why don't you keep it to yourself? - if it turns out true we'll hear about it soon enough.

There was a problem with 1 car that ford was testing the other week where a clip on the car wasnt fitted, and every car that ford had delivered to dealers was tested as a precausionary measure. This was promptly fixed by ford but as far as tranny recall goes i think there is no probs there

phew thanks Rodderz, just a precaution. I was saying to my self that the tranie is pretty much unchanged (becides the manual gate). I was at a large Ford dealer last week when I was looking at the Ba and he said that Geoff Polites told dealers that they have done a huge amount of testing to ensure that they get it all right 1st time. With such extensive changes to the BA I hope it all goes well.

Hi guys, Andrew from Ford PR here again. No transmission recalls or problems. The cars are rolling out the factory and onto the showroom floor.

Nice to hear Andrew. There must be a buzz around the office there with the BA launch. I was around FOA when the AU was still in clay and the excitement was fantastic. Should have held out with my AU purchase looking at the BA now
