Sad News from Dakar Rally
Two KTM riders have died this week. Jose Perez, 41, from a fall ,died in hospital.
Fabrizio Meoni, 47, died from a heart failure ,after a bad crash, in Stage 11.
Stage 12 has been cancelled for the bikes ,out of respect for Meoni & Perez.
The bikes will be flown to Bamaka for Stage 13. Cars and trucks will contest Stage 12 as planned.
I admire the guts and determination of all competitors in the Dakar. It makes the Australian Safari, look like a sunday drive.
