He's finally been captured. Will this bring peace to Iraq now? Or will America withdraw their presence because their objective has been achieved?
This is a historical day i suppose, but i'm still wondering whether or not it will change anything. What if one of his followers starts up a new rebellion?
Anyway, good to them for finding him, but i hope they continue to rebuild the country they destroyed.
I don't think he will be executed, that would cause too much shit in Iraq with his loyalists, but if they keep him alive, there is a fair chance loyalists will take something hostage, and ask for him to be released.

Bastard! Beat me to making this thread!! At least we know the Americans (no offence to anyone) aren't bullshitting and are actually sticking to their word. I hope it benefits the people of Iraq and the rest of the world.

I'm still not sure about the whole thing...whether it actually is him. Although the yanks seem sure enough. Hopefully there is peace now...but I won't hold my breath.

Yawn. I never knew CNN news feed was so popular (Dave_au looks at his 8 news channels).
Okay, they have saddam, so now what; whats it going to do ? Well maybe some iraqi people will breathe a little easier, but not much more than a morale sensation.
Well it sounds strange. To me it sounds like they have had him a few hours maybe days before it was relesed to the public. Either way its great news all they have to do is now find that other bloke OSAMA
