Today when I was going down Plenty Road I saw a silver XR Wagon with the XR8 Wheels and standard side skirts that come with a Series III falcon.. Wasn't close enough to see the number plate to see if it was recently built or not but it looked bloody good.. Would this of been a dealer job or what??? If only Ford would put some of these babies into production and make some fast wagons.. how bout a TS50 Wagon.. Im sure Ef_Falcon_Guy agrees... :s6: :s6:

I've seen a couple around I think people just get the front & wheels from a dealer.

I've seen a few Forte sedans around Geelong with XR fronts on them so i'm sure a few wagons have been done the same.

Yeah ive seen forte wagons (still with the forte badges) with the red stripes, 17" tickford wheels and the XR front.
Dunno if its a dealer thing, or the person just optioned that stuff:crazy1:

Yeah a few months back at Hills Ford Horsby they were selling a Green AUII (wannabe) XR wagaon. Had the XR front end,XR wheels (17"s) and XR badging by the indicator. I think it was just a Forte though. Was a brand new car (not registered) and I presume done by the dealer.

Makes you wonder why Ford / Tickford don't create XR wagons anymore when I think there is a niche market there. Esp as Holden don't have one either. It would be good if they could have an XR wagon for the AV, might even pick up some sales from Holden drivers wanting a Hi-Performance wagon as well.

Yeah, it would be a good move to introduce a XR wagon to the line up again. Even if it is in small numbers and people have to order it special and have to wait for it. Would also be good to get the jump on Holden for once and have a performance variant wagon before them.
I think from memory Aussie Pete said he would be in the market for one, and I know I would look into it also.

An XR wagon sounds like a Brilliant idea!

Could easily strike a deal with the wife for our next vehicle upgrade.

There is, but unfortunately it's not big enough for production run XR wagons. That's why the XR6 wagon was killed when the EL was released..
