Has anyboby used Meguiars scratchX and has had good results???

I bought some the yesterday and thought i might try some.

I'll wash my car with Meguiars soft wash gel first
then after that make sure my car is dry & clean & in the shade then i'll apply some scratchX
I bought the hand applicator pads too so applying this stuff should be easy.

I'll let you know how my result was.

Use it as a prep before using gold class polish..

it removes swirls, light scratches and most contaminents...really smooths the paint up, removes any grtty feeling...

I use it before I polish, wash and dry the car, cool in shade, apply with an applicator pad (meguires yellow foam) let dry and remove with terry toweling..

make sure you follow up with a polish / protectant..as your paint will be left without any protectant.

I only use it for removing small surface scratches but it works very well doing that!

I use paint cleaner before i polish the car and if that doesnt remove the swirls/scratches i will use scratch x on the area then use paint cleaner over the top the polish then 2 cor 3 coats of wax

I must say that scratch x is a great product
and it does smooth the paintwork
and really did help cover up thoses noticeable scratches.
how often does everybody use it
I think mine will be right for a while because the wax i apply after should protect the paintwork.

It really depends on how often you wash the car and whether you have it garaged/car ported/outside or if its parked near a tree where sap and bird sh!t can get to it.

i havent used it yet because i was unsure if i should do only the scratches or the whole car, i have to de yellow a head light this wkend so i will try it then. The paint cleaner works a treat though as do the rest of their products

I use it and highly recommend it. i use it with the gold class polish and it brings a stunnign shine to the car!!

By the way everybody is swearing by this stuff, I must get some and try it,but I take it you should wax straight afterward's,is this scratchX stuff just like a pollish or do you have to pollish afterward's aswell,cheer's.
