im having trouble attaching files & attachments in outlook express.

I can attach the files and send them, then when i hit send, norton scans the files (i think) and sends the email.

the only problem is when the email reaches its destination, there are never any attachments.

i think i have a firewall turned on whatever that means.

pleeez help !???! its getting frustrating

try uninstalling norton and send yourself an email, if it works then its norton, re-install and in the configuration see if there is an email section see if you can turn it off.....

so what software are u running...shouldn't be the antivirus...are running a software firewall (zone alarm, or norton equivalent?)?? what are u sending?? .exe files?? i know outlook 2002 will not allow you to view certain attachments being a security hazard...maybe try zipping up the attachment and see what happens??

some files like .exe and .bat will be deleted by outlook. No way around it, it's part to the MS security system
