seems to me the moderators

on here take quite a bit of stick.

to me, this appears to be a bit unjustified. let me state up front that i do not know any of the guys, and have not knowingly met any of them, so i stand to gain aabsolutely nothing from sucking up.

they moderate this board in their own time, and do it so the rest of us can come along here and talk driving, fords and have a laugh. in particular, FM seems to cop a lot of shit. dont know why, but it seems unfair.

if you dont like it, go here and look from posts buy posters called 'greg mitchell' (not his real name) and o'dwyer.

http://195.8.171.13/cgi-bin/webbbs_config.pl

these two guys are truly nasty bastards. they both think they know more about arsenal than anyone else, and are the only real fans. all the rest of us are 'plastic'. these clowns have been allowed to keep up their nasty shots at other board users.

this site is provided free of charge, although donations can be made.

ultimately, it belongs to lunaticss, and if he wants to pull the plug on the whole thing, then he can. it's his site, it's his rules.

i really enjoy coming here, if others have a problem, then piss off. set up your own sites and you can discuss whatever you want and call everyone whatever you fancy.

I'd just like to say that we as admin/Moderators do cop a bit of stick, but that goes with the territory of being a mod/admin. It's all a part of the job. I can't speak for the other guys but I just want to let people know that if you have a beef with me please tell me (in a PM or an email) so I can explain or if I have stuffed up, can appologise.
Nothing is taken personally and the vast majority is taken with the good humour it was intended to be taken with. Like The Don, I come here to have a laugh and can honestly say I've made some lifelong friends from being here, which to me is the whole point of it all..

I'd have to agree with you rsgerry, I haven't said any thing on this and similar issues because I don't see the need to get into any slagging matches.

The people that run this place would have to be some of the most level headed guy's around and full credit to them for making this such a great place for car enthusiasts.

Keep up the good work.

Here here, I've said along this is the best forum that I have participated in. I like the fact that Geoff P and other Ford and Tickford employees come here to speak with us, and I put that down to the quality of the posts and the way the Forum is administered.

Well done to the mods and a big thanks to Lunatic SS.

Very true. These Forums are the ones that made it feel good to be a Ford fan. It turned me from a passive to a big fan of Ford. And I have alot of the members to thank for that especially mods who have kept these boards user friendly and sane.

Seconded.

Members here generally treat each other with respect and decency. Don't come here if you haven't got something decent to say.

Agree with FM on this!

I am happy to discuss any issues with management, but rather do so via an email or PM

Thanks for the feedback rsgerry and everyone! It's great to have some support in what has been some rather difficult past few weeks.

There are 2 reasons I spend time on these boards..
(1) As a moderator, I come here to help the site run smoothly and operate at a high standard.
(2) As a member, I come here for a laugh, for info, and to share stories.

There is an element which holds (1) against me, (and the others), and immediately has a problem with any form of intervention or moderation. What they continue to fail to realise is that without (1), they, and pretty much everyone else, can't ever enjoy (2) !!!

My advice to them - let's enjoy the place and not keep creating issues!
