G'day all,

Please excuse me if this post is in the wrong spot, I haven't been here for a while.

I have to update my xr8 as I have for the last 3 years only my contact at the dealer where I change them each year has left and they seem to be screwing me on trade in price.
I usually have neither the time or the patience to sell privately but this time I am thinking otherwise so my question is what do you think it's worth?

220kw au
Venom red
18" chrome wheels (yeah I know, a bit ricey but I like shinny stuff)
near new tyres
just re registered
3" cat back exhaust into 2 X 2 1/4 outlet
Full dealer service history.
this car is in excellent condition but has high K's @ 75000
The distance this car has done is as with all my cars the reason for the 12 month changeovers. But as I live in the southern highlands NSW and work between my Sydney and Canberra offices does not reflect the true condition of the car.
I can attach a picture if it helps but I don't think the pub is the right spot.

Any input would be appreciated

How patient are you?

Trading the car in is the fast and easiest way to dispose of the car.
Selling privately, generally will get you better dollars, but may take a lot longer.....

Stick it in the AU For Sale Section. Pics are also warmly appreciated. Have you sussed out the red book values??

Redbook values are as follows:

2002 FORD FALCON
AU III Sedan XR8 4dr Man 5sp 5.0i
average kms 18,000 - 22,000
trade in price guide* $30,000 - $33,700
national average price - private sale* $33,000 - $37,600
(Add $500 for auto)

Based on your Kms being 3 times the average, I would say you could expect around the $30k - $31k mark.
