It's ok to hook up a cheap switch to operate the BBM long runner to short runner change, but to do it properly the engine timing etc. normally changes aswell when the the manifold switches over. The whole point is can the BBM manifold be made to work 100% on EA falcons? at a resonable cost?. The only way i know of is either a uni chip or update to smart lock ECU which requires the smart lock to be bypassed. If anyone knows of another way...let me know.

Either; RPM switch/aftermarket ECU, install smartlock and EL ECU or get a Smartlock bypass module.

just lock the runners in the long position - it will help with gas flow at low revs to get the turbo spooling and once the turbo is on song the air doesnt giv a f*ck about the path it takes, it just gets shoved in.

and yes, suck through is usually used on cheaply set up turbo carby or lpg cars - the carby or mixer is put before the inlet of the turbo and then a straight pipe takes the compressed gas straight from the turbo into the motor.

you cant have an intercooler because of the dangers of explosion with LPG, and also the fuel tends to 'fall out' of the air as it goes through a cooler (on petrol) so you get crap fuel mixtures.

well you can, you can do anything, but it works fuct :s6:

as i said, the gas/fuel can drop out of suspension in the air and 'pool' in the cooler, so you get uneven (read: fuct) air/fuel mixtures and poor economy, performance and potential for explosion all in one go.

the short answer is: no, you cant run a cooler with a suck through system.
