Sequential Sports Shift Auto or Manual?

A question for those contemplating the purchase of a BA and in particular those who prefer a manual over an auto.

Who of you would consider going the auto option because of the sequentlial sports shift & who would stick with the manual?

Personally, I'm an auto fan but would love to get my hands on the SSS to get the best of both worlds (to an extent).

Fair enough but have you always been an auto man or a converted manual d00d?

Well Mavvs, if you had asked me 6 months ago there would have been no hesitation - I love driving and for me it has to be a manual.

However after my latest experience with the manual in my TE50 I have to say I doubt I would buy a car with the same gearbox ie TR3650. As this is going to be the gearbox behind all V8 BAs I for one would be trying the auto - either that or buy an XR6-T with the old T5. I have heard of ppl with troubles even with T5s so....just don't know....manuals seem to be a lottery....some good and some not so.

hehe I know how you feel xa-coupe! Manuals all the way for me :s6:

Also I have no probs with the manual on the XR6 VCT I drive. Sure it aint no MX-5 gearbox (trust me I know), but its still pretty decent.

mavss - Was that purely incidence or did I post this same thread at the same time as you or what!?!? Great minds think alike!

I'm seeing a rather interesting pattern though... Manuals are the go!

I wanna know what the manual XR-6T will be like to drive...
