Not happy!

4 month old ute <7000kms.

Locked me inside once and couldn't get out - they were dodgy about coming and getting it til I made a bit of a fuss.

They fixed a fuel gauge problem at the 1500 service (I'd heard something on here about it - vaguely - so thought that was nice of them)
BUT - now the guage reads very high, and the 'mode' thingy (hold mode and up while starting) sows an actual fuel reading that jumps all over the place (eg - flashes from 30-50ish when it should read around 30)

I work 20 mins out of town, and when I booked it in to be fixed the girl offered no help at all about getting around without my car. when I asked about a courtesy car, i was told the standard fees would apply and they would expect fuel in it when it returned. Did I just buy something second hand? Or a cheap ass Daewoo? Customer service anyone???

I'll be asking the ford ppl what they do about servicing when I drive an XR6 Turbo soon....

Driver's door wouldn't open. No feel on side handle. lock/unlock did nothing. lock/deadlock/unlock, wind down window/outside handle - nothing.

climbing out the passenger door of a 1 month old car is kinda embarrassing

good points in the link from XR8SAM - but return for warranty gives me no choice on place. The complaints part might be helpful tho.

you can get warranty work done at any dealer, you don't have to get it done where you bought the car, even if the dealer did tell you that you had to.

one dealer town. pain in the butt to try to get to another town just for a service. won't be getting 'book' services done thru them though.

Gotta hate living somewhere like that, but only for just one dealer! Ford need to give the dealers a good kick up the a#$e!

Yeah their pricks about the loan car arn't they? I don't have time to wait like 3 hours while my car sits waiting for it's 10min service.
I would think that when your paying the extra for dealer service it should be included. I mean if you go to some cheap ass work shop you get the same service for $100 flat but at the dealer they want 170+ for the same thing. DODGY!

oops - that's what i get for cutting and pasting from the holden forum.

i drive an ss ute :-D holden service is the problem here. wondering if ford has better stories or worse
