all this talk of a s/c GTHO. give me a stroker 5.8 (351) with 351kW and a shaker. i'm guessing GT 300kW, GT-P 320-330kW and GTHO 351kW. i might be dreaming but then again i never expected 182kW from the standard i6 and no one i know of, even wheels mag, thought the xr6T would have 240kW. this is amazing!
here's hoping for the return of the GTHO (with shaker?)
I'm with you FordXR8, I think the Shaker should be a must on the GT.
And it's not as far out an idea as you might think. Ford USA will be using a shaker on the new Mustang Mach 1, so a shaker is available from Ford's world wide parts bin...
really ChuBBz, that's got to suck. i'm gathering then that they might do something similar to that of the EB and EL GT's with a central bonnet vent, especially if they s/c.
on that note, why doesn't the xr6 240T have bonnet vents like the fabulous looking EF XR series. this would be a great way of differentiating the XR6 240T from the standard XR6 (which i think needs more power so as to be above the normal falcon i6). the xr6 240T does need some more work to the body kit to make it stand out and tell people what it has under the bonnet
That shaker really is sick. How good would it be on a GT?! (yes this is rehtorical question!)
I think it is a must. But yes it has been said on this site before that they are illegal. Can anyone confirm this or they they know why they are illegal?

Im all for a shaker, the super-roo logo and '351' at the side.....
Well im a purist GT enthusiast and I hope Ford will use the new mark with all the signs of the old and maybe a bit of the new as well. If the GTHO returns does this mean the BA II GTHO will be called the Phase VI? Since the was a XD GTHO phototype donkeys years ago?

BRING BACK SUPEROO !!!
We are in the 21st Century now. I don't think a 351 badge or a little animated logo of a kangaroo are relevant. There is a new era of Performance cars now, FPV. Just like Tickford's gone, so has superoo and all he represented.

Yeah I think it's a mistake to put the super-roo and '351' badge on a car that it doesn't belong to.
The XW-XY era is over, and it's great that Ford has started a new era with the new FPV cars. Just as Holden did with HSV after the whole Brock/HDT debacle, it has made them stronger, and this should make Ford much stronger.
