Well, it has been a long time coming, but it is nearly over.
For those of you that don't know, i have built a new motor for my pride and joy. Starting in March, it is all but in.
Here is an overview of what was done:
302W stroked to 347
Race Harmonic Balancer
H-Beam rods
Forged Pistons
Roush big port heads
Custom Cam
Shaft Roller Rockers
Edelbrock Vctr Jnr Manifold
40lb bosch injectors
Carby style throttle body - equivalent to 92mm.
AU front end - power steering, water pump, alternator, tensioner etc.
AU Multicoils
Wolf 3D to run it all.
That's the engine side of things.
I also took the liberty of upgrading the fuel system and clutch.
The fuel system consist of the following:
10G fuel cell - fully polished
All #8 braided fuel lines.
Inline fuel filter.
Carter lift pump
5 ltr swirl pot
Bosch 044 high pressure supply pump.
Anyway, got the engine of the engine dyno last week. After a bit of tuning and playing, i am proud to announce that the beast is putting out the following figures:
447hp (340kw) @ 6200 and 6300
417 ft-pd (565nm) @ 5000.
I'm am very, very happy to say the least. The best bit is that they reckon it will gain another 20HP or so once the engine gets some more km's under it.
I have heaps of pics, but won't be able to get them up until next week, as i am flat out trying to get the engine in and going in the car for the sprint at Phillip Island this Saturday.
A BIG thanks to
Mick Webb at
Mick Webb's SVO for building the engine and spending long nights at the moment to get the beast in the car. I can't wait to drive it
