Shipping a gearbox interstate - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

Who here has had engine parts shipped overstate? Who did you send them through? Which companies can you recommend?
I need a gearbox shipped from queensland to melbourne and cant seem to find anyone to do it for a reasonable price.

I had a Zetec motor, Sierra Gearbox shipped from Brisbane to Adelaide about 3 years ago.. All up about 215kg pallet cost me about $75 through Toll

Nice, im gonna have to get around to that one day. Did you get the internals rebuilt? Youll definitely need it when the GT35 comes on boost

Nah, I want to see how it goes on standard internals first if it dies Ill replace it. No use in fixing what aint broken. Plus this way I dont need to wait another 6 months to have a fast car.

Anyone know of any other places?
Toll quoted me $240 and I havent found any cheaper yet.

Wouldn't recommend Toll...I've dealt with them twice, I had them transport a car from Cairns to Adelaide and they didn't strap it properly inside the truck, the car got heavily damaged on the way down here, when I went back at them for re-imbursement they pretty well refused to take my calls.
