I have a 1988 Ford thunderbird (non turbo), and i have been trying to sell it without getting much luck (a few offers of well under what i want, and some lame trades). Recently a guy offered me a 1984 Ranger for it... Is that a good deal?

Thunderbirds stats:
-V8, Auto, 158K-ish Miles
-Runs/drives great
-Has cracked motor mounts (needs replaced sooner or later)
-Rusted exhaust manifold (needs a new one)
-Had rust on the rear quarter panel (i sanded/primered it)
-Has small amount of rust on inside of trunk lid.
-No stereo (im not letting it go with it).
-Bad tint on the windows (bubbles and crap)
-Needs paint
-Trunk doesnt open easily (requires both a turn of the key and push of the trunk release button thats in the glove box)
-Antenna is broke (it works, but it doesnt go up or down anymore.)
-Gas guage is out (fuse, i think)
-the top of the Doors arm rests arent on it.... the metal is bent on them, so the factory fastners dont fit anymore.
-Power everything
-New battery and 02 sensor


Ranger Stats:
-V6, Auto,2WD, 119K miles
-Runs/drives "Great" (untested, all this info is just what the guy told me).
-a little rust on the tailgate
-Needs front bumper
-Dual Tanks
-New Tires, Heater core, and U joints
-Needs paint
-Am/Fm/Cassette


Do you think it would be a good deal? With the truck being at or about the same value as my car?

Big Block Ford

The TBird is an 88 and the Ranger is 84 so I would have thought there would be more value in the TBird as long as the condition is not too different.
