Should the red stripe stay?

Ok, i'm looking for people's opinions on the red stripes around the XR.
Its galaxy blue as shown below (note, i've got AU2 XR 17" wheels now as well).

I'm undecided whether I like them or not.
The red I think looks good on the blue, and goes with the Red XR badges on the back and sides, and the red brake calipers. On the other had, no stripe will give a cleaner look.

Let the voting begin!!!
cheers . . . .
Damien

Re: Should the red stripe stay?

Yeap, I removed mine and never looked back! Also as needfordspeed said, add the clear indicators. I also colour coded the mirrors and was going to add AU2 tail lights. Also lowered and added 265 rubber to help to add width to the car.

Re: Should the red stripe stay?

Chalk up another vote for the demise of the red stripe.

The red pin stripes of EF/EL/AU1 days just never looked any good to me.

Also, go the clear side indicators, a cheap mod that looks great, also the tail lights but they're much pricier

I always gag when I see that red stripe on the XR, I don't know why... the old man once owned an XF Ghia in charcoal with the red stripe, but it was higher and only on the sides of the car. Looked grouse.
