Lightbulb Show some Respect to V8 owners

Yes the XR6t is a new fuzzy pair of dice to ford and there owners but reguardless of this the XR8 and GT have presence on the road, how many of us see an XR8 and point it out to ther friends, the V8 is an always will have a soft spot amoungst us ford owners because we've been raised around V8's being the king
(call it phase 3 ho giving ford its reputation for the last 30yrs).
My little brother is twice as big as me and runs faster than me, but i am still his big brother and he respects that. Just remember that XR6T owners as you have 12months history when the V8 owners have 40yrs history, all i am saying is respect eachothers decisions to drive what we want

I agree with you there EATURBO. Before the comments start hurling at me, I do not own a V8 but an I6!

The thing is that people see this as a new and exciting product in Ford's range and feel the need to gloat about it. Yes, I'm sure that before people decided to go out and buy their V8s, they had a glance at the I6T at least once.

This is a community of Ford owners so the unnecessary bickering between each other should actually not be raised. If people feel the need to gloat whether it's about their I6T or V8, do so against another make (not necessarily Holdens/HSVs) and not with each other.

That's life.


No car ATM but I am looking at one...
I don't want to say which one otherwise someone else might buy it!

There is no doubt that the XR Turbo is a quick car, and may well end up with a cult following, however that old saying still rings true.

wel i think you have to take it not so seriously. How cares if people are bagging the xr8...all of us know its a good car and really is a poofteenth slower than the xr6t.

A bit of competition never hurt anyone so just relax, drive your car and not care what someone else thinks.

Just my opinion anyway.

A Ford Falcon would and should always have there flagship vehicle with a V8 no question about that. It's called Heritage and Legendary status. But i'm very happy that Ford has stepped into the Turbo arena and with force.

An Aussie Ford Falcon without a V8 simply and quite frankly doesn't make sense.
