Hi,

Just been hearing alot about these SIDO numbers. I have ordered a BA XT (2/11/02) and contacted the dealer a few times, all they say is that it is either still to be painted or hasn't arrived. Now is this SIDO number like a tag number? Is it for all the falcons or just the XR's??? I don't seem to have mine anywhere, was the dealer supposed to give me one? Sorry for my niveness.

The SIDO (Single Item Dealer Order) number is allocated by Ford to the dealer as a reference thorughout the build process and beyond.

It applies to all vehicles manufactured and in the world of Ford they are reused about evey 4 years or so.

Your dealer doesn't have to give you one ... it isn't really a lot of use to you unless you want to question where in the build process your car is with the Ford Call centre.

Ok thanx russ for clearing that up. Much appreciated. I guess though just gotta be patient :) I just really hope they don't change the price on me cause their was no delivery date specified. I was told dealers are able to do that its in the contract, clause 2!!! oh well
