Seeing as everyone refers to the BARRA falcon as "AV". Ford would have to be pretty stupid to change it - it will cause too much confusion, IMO.

Alot of people have told me that it wasn't really going to be given the "AV" code as it was only the media that gave it such a code. Even some "reliable" sources told me it would be either called "AB" or "AC". But i personally do not see Ford using such codes.

Bring on the AV!!!!!!!!

My guess is no, what it will be called, I don't know however. Seeing as there was an AV telstar I don't see ford recycling that model designation

This was brought to my attention as i was browsing thru the www.powerchip.com.au site and they had a "not-available yet" chip for the AV falcon (LOL)

The only people that realy know are the head honchos at Ford. I guess we'll all just have to wait until september when it's released:bhrmmm2: .

Maybe they dont.... That would explain why its being kept so tight lipped. I'd say it'll probably be A?, coz it would be very dumb of them to go EL - AU - Different letter group, Especially seeing as it does bear resembelences to its ancestor.

Anyhow, whatever they call it, FF will prob still refer to it as BARRA!!!
