So true

hi how are you all.

this is a message i got in an email this afternoon

Near to the door
he paused to stand
as he took his class ring
off her hand
all who were watching
did not speak
as a silent tear
ran down his cheek
and through his mind
the memories ran
of the moments they walked
and ran in the sand (hand and hand)
but now her eyes were so terribly cold
for he would never again
have her to hold
they watched in silence
as he bent near
and whispered the words..
"I LOVE YOU" in her ear
he touched her face and started to cry
as he put on his ring and wanted to die
and just then the wind began to blow
as they lowered her casket
into the snow....
this is what happens
to man alive.....
when friends let friends....
drink and drive.

please dont drink and drive or let anyone you know do it either
because even though this is a poem it's still what happens to lot's of people all the time and we dont want this for our loved ones.
or our fellow forum members

No arguments here. I'd be much happier if I saw half as many booze buses as I did speed cameras

Drinking and driving is one think i think it is worth the police putting their efforts into, certainly more valid than most speed cameras.

Definately a very important thing.
And obviously with the way speed cameras work, it will do more good, rather than just rasing money.

Here here.. Increase the fines for drink driving I reckon. There's your revenue base.

Question

So who is it out there who drinks and drives? Everyone I speak to is dead against the concept, and rightly so. Is it some sort of class thing? Age thing? Dead sh*t thing? There must be a lot out there who do it - absolute dickheads ........... goes for drugs too .......

Could not agree more. Drink driving and fatigue are the biggest menaces on the road as far as I am concerned (along with those who do 180km/h in a residential street). But booking people for doing 66 in a 60 zone is bullshit.

Get the drink drivers, they're the real killers.
