I mean, seriously, who'd pay $125,000 for a Beetle...the RS version or whatever it is! And $40,000 for the new Mini!!!
Don't even ask me about the NSX from Honda. Even the Arrow at approx $130,000 is a bit out (but I guess it's a low production car).
It could just be me of course but still, some of the prices are getting outta control.

Yes what about the BMW 318i for $54k basic price. A damn rip off i reckon. I refuse to spend $50k for a 2L engine.

I could build you a Falcon Windsor V8 suicide machine for about 120k or so (depending on exchange rates) with a bit spare. We've built on and it eats 911 turbo's for breakfast which started life as a EA Fairmont Ghia.... Or if you can find me a Triton V10......

There are probably people silly enough to actually pay that much for a 2 door Commie...

Some of the above mentioned are good examples of over-priced cars, what's even worse value than the BMW 318i is the Benz C180 Classic at $54,900. Motor says it best with; Four-pot wouldn't pull a sailor off your sister. Who wants to spend 54K on a car that would be beaten by a 15K Hyundai? At least the 318i doesn't go too bad these days now that it has a 2.0ltr engine.
And yeah, the NSX is hideously expensive given that you could buy a Porsche for much less money and at the same time enjoy better performance...
I dont think there that bad...if you got enough money to waste, then heck what ever turns you on...i reckon insurance is more of a bitch though...my uncle just got a maserati 3200gt (twin turbo 3.2L v8 - it goes sooo hard) and insurance through GIO was $41000 a year - subject to the assessors viewing the car etc -cheapest he could get was 10 000 a year, and he has never ever made a claim!!!
