Info from mate at Holden.

• Holden will be releasing a SS wagon next year.
  
• Holden will not be releasing a Turbo V6.......ever.
  
• SSX will not go into production
  
• Limited Edition SS with 19" wheels due mid next year
  
• Rear lights of new Statesman/Caprice looks similar to current Fairlane and it looks gorgeous
  
• Caprice comes with DVD screens standard, mounted behind the front seats
  
• Caprice SS due out next year
  
• Holden were going to release a sports version Calais called the 'Calais Plus' with more Kw, leather interior, body Kit and 18" wheels for $70,000+ but it has now been canned.
  
• VY spec Monaro due out 2-3 weeks with a new purple colour
  VY interior, Exterior will be unchanged except for new 18" wheels
  
• I also know how many Kw the new GTO has but i can't say because i don't want to spoil CSV_LS1's little party on LS1.com....sorry!

My mate also said that he drove the XR6 Turbo and said it's a sensational car but drinks like a fish.

Yup SS wagon would certainly be a market leader. There are plenty of people lineing up for a high powered, hot handling Barge!

Im a little suprised that holden arent making a turbo because i can see the XR6t selling in the bucket loads!

How cool would a HSV or a FPV v8 wagon fully done up the features and a body kit look ?

im guessing that the VY wagon will look pretty good IMO

Will sell initially then be dropped rather quick I reckon.. Not a big enough market for it long term.

Couldn't see that happening anyway.. They have too much online in the plants as it is..

It'll be like a Special Pack.. aka XR8 Rebel. Nothing special there IMO.

Holden seem to be getting right into the niche markets & special packs of late. Could harm them in the long run as they won't have to capacity to build them all. Good luck to 'em but..

Detroit Rumble

Ford had an XR6 Wagon in EF(very rare if you find one), I think, and it did'nt sell, so went the way of the Fairmont Ghia wagon.

There was a Chevy badged WH Caprice SS in LHD at Melbourne Motorshow in 2001.
