I think this will amuse most of you on this forum.
My parents own a motel and of late have been having a bit of a problem with manaros and commadors. Many of you know they come with "Keyless Entry" this acutaly means no key hole on the door, you must use the zapper to unlock the car. They also have automatic head lights which switch on when it gets dark or its foggy or rainy, etc.
Well theres abit of a fault in the head lights and when it rains they switch on, even if the car is switched off, which flattens the battery. So you need to jump start the car. but you need power to unlock the doors in order to open the bonnet.
Solution: you have to jack the car up and reach up into the engine bay to get power to the battery in order to open the doors to open the bonnet, to jump start the car!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would have thought that with the headlight switch to Auto, the lights wouldn't operate unless the ignition was switched on. That sounds like a really dodgy fault!
Who uses automatic headlights anyway? Bloody Holden drivers can't tell the difference between light and dark because they're always wearing sunglasses...
