Sometimes Nice things Happen

On a day that I should have enjoyed My Daughters 2nd birthday, Some Phuckwit chose to break into my shop and rip off a shite load of models and
smash the joint up.

So in a nutshell I am very ****ing pissed off at the moment.

however 2 things saved the day.

(1) The look on my daughters face when she saw her Hi-Five cake.

(2) the following article. Its proves there are nice people in the world.

Yours,

A very Pissed Philbie

During the week, the inconceivable happened.

What might this be, you ask?

Well, one of Australia's car giants decided to look after one of their customers.

You might remember the other week when NGE listed a gripe by jim_ex3831 about his Ford Escape from which he said he wanted to "escape". If ever there were a lemon car he said, this was it. He listed its faults as:

REAR DIFF SEAL REPLACED
BOTH HEAD GASKETS REPLACED
GEARBOX GASKET REPLACED
AIR IDLE CONTROL REPLACED
AIR CONDITIONER COMPRESSOR PROBLEM
COVER VALVE GASKET REPLACED
OIL PUMP GASKET
EGR VALVE GASKET REPLACED
BOLT REPLACED
OIL SEAL REPLACED
OIL ASSEMBLY SEAL REPLACED
REPLACED PINION SHAFT SEAL
FAN BELT PRETENSIONER
LEFT HAND DRIVE SHAFT REPLACED
COMPUTER REFLASHED ON 3 SEPARATE OCCASIONS
ENTIRE ENGINE REMOVED FROM VEHICLE AND TORQUE CONVERTER REPLACED!!!!

This is for a car that has travelled less than 25,000 kilometres. What a joke!!

Current status:

1. Engine stalls whenever it wants.
2. Front end makes a 'crack' noise when reversing
3. Engine is noisier than a 1950's tractor
4. Front windows rattle at highway speeds.
5. Wind noise unbearable
5. Rear hatch rattles
6. Auto transmission slipping when taking off.
7. Auto transmission clunking into gear
8. Doors creak when lent against (inside)

After a lot of lobbying and with the persistence of NGE to expose Ford, last week jim_ex3831 took great pleasure in informing NGE that Ford has undertaken to replace his lemon car - lock, stock and barrel.

There is a small cost to jim_ex3831 but this is nothing compared to a new replacement car.

The message to other owners of lemon cars is that the squeaky wheel sometimes get oiled. These car companies can come to the party. They are not immune to an assertive and vocal customer and a popular, public website like NGE.

That said, well done Ford. You have taken customer service to a new level. Our sincere congratulations!

Re: Sometimes Nice things Happen

That is very steep stuff. Such a shame that people resort to things like stealing. Hope that you get the shop up and running soon. Hope the coppers get the bastard but then again, they'll be too busy pinging drivers somewhere.

Good luck!

Mate, that is terrible news. Especially on such a day. I mean, if they're gonna steal it's bad enough, but to smash everything up as well? Bastards.

I hope things pull up and that the police catch the thieving pricks.

Did you have a security system installed? Any cameras?

Good luck.

Good to see that your day wasn't totally spoiled though.
