Well, it seems a few people are saying action speaks louder than words. Well, we all have a right to protest and so I'll raise the issue again.
What we need to do is protest. We need to make this a public issue. But we need to do it lawfully, and in cooperation with the relevant government bodies such as the Police.
Now, the first step is to gain a permit to protest. This is normally kicked off via application to a specific council. I'm willing to work on this, but who is going to step up and join in? Who will act instead of talking?
I can do this in the Sydney area. I propose General Holmes Drive as a possible site.
Now, don't get off track on this thread. Just say yes/no, and whether you can join in on a Saturday or a Sunday.

I voted Sunday, but any day would be fine.
If you need assistance in any other way, give me a yell.
This issue has been a thorn in my side for some time now.
I voted Sunday, but either is okay. This is something we should do big time - every car club - every motoring organisation - every state.
Get it on the National News and give those shites in state parliment in every state the message that we've had enough.
(Though knowing the NSW Police, they'd prbably be defecting our cars while we were standing around chanting) :s6:

What is the alternative ? What are you protesting for ?
You can't just say get rid of the cameras. you need to propose an alternative.
How about abolishing the fines and keeping the demerit points. This stops revenue raising yet stills acts as a deterant to speeding and hopefully since no money is gained by these devices they won't be used as much.
