Two weeks ago a speed camera van in Canberra was approached by 4
youths.
Whilst the camera operator was talking to three boys about the vans
equipment and how it works, the fourth boy proceeded to undo the vans
front number plate.
They then said good-bye to the operator, Went home and fixed the number
plate to their car and proceeded to drive considerably over the speed
limit 17 times through the speed camera radar.
Needless to say, there was considerable embarrassment by Urban services
when the computer posted their own speeding fines to the department.
Once me and a friend were driving along wanneroo rd and saw a camera, so we pulled over right next to it, so it couldn't flash any cars. The operator dude came over to us and told us we had to move, but we pretended that we didn't speak english. we no speak english!!!

It is also very common that people drive past the camera slowly, and blast their horn at the copper, making him half choke on his donut!
I place my hand on the window frame with support being provided entirely by middle finger.....
When driving trucks I used to blast my horn as well - the noise is sufficient to wake the b@st@rds up!

For those in the Lane Cove (Sydney) area, there's a newish fixed location speed camera on Centennial Avenue facing southbound. Anyway, just behind it is a very tall pole with a video monitoring camera watching the speed camera.
Will that stop disgruntled drivers from taking out their frustrations? Hell no! It will give them two targets to take out rather than one.

Near me when a fixed speed camera was first set up about 2 years ago, it was burnt out within the first week. A month later it was burt out again, this time with another camera on a pole behind that to monitor it.
About 3 months later the smaller camera was missing and the speed camera burnt out again! Now if you drive past there's 3 cameras with the last mounted high up on another pole :dead:
