The NSW Govt is already rolling in money and this is a cheap vote chasing announcement. It's a joke, not for what it will achieve but becauise of the way it has been done.
Look at the taxes NSW has reaped from home sales, fuel taxes (the 3x3 etc - compare our fuel prices to QLD), tolls that were not removed as promised (Carr lies again) etc etc. I know I paidalmost $25k last year in stamp duty and tax to get into my crummy house!
Nice try Bob. I'm still gonna fight your revenue cameras and fight them hard until they're gone.

i would rather my money went to a charity than the government. however, i have taken...errr...'precautions' with my number plate. if i get flashed and dont get a ticket, i will donate half the fine to an animal charity. will wait and see if my 'efforts' pay off :s2:

As far as I'm concerned, speed camera revenue should go back into road safety and absolutly NOTHING else!
The next time some police officer or politician starts mouthing off about speed camera's not being revenue raisers I will take this article and stick so far up their proverbial where-the-sun-don't-shine that they will start spitting brown stuff for the next ten years.
