speed cameras in wheelie bins.

Yes, you heard right. I just read in todays Sunday Mail, that cops will be using speed cameras in wheelie bins very soon. Im not sure if its happening where you live ut this is rediculous coming from a state that already cherishes its revenue to speed cameras more than usual.

Ive had anough of this crap with this state and all its proving to me is that SA's not really interested in saving lives but more to penalise.

When will this crap end?

Re: speed cameras in wheelie bins.

The article could be full of it (if the journalist just wrote off the photo that circulates now and then of a speed camera in a bin somewhere in Europe.)

The question has to be made - why would Police put a camera in a bin ? Wouldn't it be easier (and safer) just to put a camera worth circa $70000 in the back of a hilux etc ?

I could imagine humourous results if they placed the bin out on garbage collection day.

Re: speed cameras in wheelie bins.

hehe. its stupid. their excuse is that it will be used in smaller back streets where a parked car wouldnt normally fit into. Why the hell do they need to put a camera down a back alley in the first place?

WTF!, I thought these car cams was only fitted on Aussie built vehicles, ie: Falcon, Commodore, Magna, Camry and the like. Guess the wheelie bin would be ok as it's Aussie made.

No my friend, not just on aussie built vehicles. I've seen it on Nissan trucks and the like.
